I can see it...and it does sound Canadian... considering the weather here in Toronto, windy, snowy and cold, as I write this...

An excerpt from the transcripton of the above:
"There's no doubt that our clothes can reflect a definite Canadian personality," explains CBC's Shirley Brett. In this 1954 radio clip, she's reporting on the first all-Canadian fashion show, staged in Montreal by 13 Canadian fashion designers. After describing some of the designs on display, Brett comes to her own conclusions on what Canada's fashion world is all about. "I had the feeling that Canadian fashion designers - like our diplomats - can compromise, can adapt and co-exist and that like our diplomats they can also strike out on their own.."

The last part of the comment certainly forecast what was to come from Rad Hourani...

And now, if you will...please answer these 2 questions...
"In today's fashion world, does Canada have a clear national identity?
Does any country have a clear national identity?"
Don't think too long, it should pop into your fashion focus quickly if it's there....let me know what you think!
