If you don't already know  of "RAD HOURANI",  some bits and pieces to get you started on the "Canadian Fashion Designer".

From the "RAD HOURANI" website:
"I STARTED IMAGINING CLOTHES THE SAME WAY I STARTED CREATING IMAGES: WITH A SENSE OF CURIOSITY AND INNOCENCE DRIVEN BY MY NO-BACKGROUND BACKGROUND. NO SCHOOL. NO TEACHERS. NO TELLY. NO BOUNDARIES. NO FORMATTING. I LIKE THE IDEA OF A WORLD THAT WE COULD LIVE AND SHAPE BY OURSELVES"

In an interview from "REALSTYLE MAGAZINE"
"Rad Hourani: I design timeless pieces. I don’t work with trends or what the fashion machine is about; I create my own rules, and I’m very thankful to have great clients that have taste, elegance and great minds. They see themselves in what I do, and it is one of the greatest gifts I have ever received.
Rad Hourani and RAD by Rad Hourani, are ultimately unisex"

from the "Montreal Gazette"
"Rad Hourani is “over the moon” with the news that he has been invited to show on the Parisian haute couture calendar as a guest of the Chambre syndicale de la haute couture...
It’s going to look crazy, Hourani said of the collection, which will be shown Jan. 24, on the same calendar as Chanel, Valentino, Dior and Jean Paul Gaultier. The garments will be panelled and layered, as were the items in a trial show last summer in Paris, he said, but with different methods of construction....
Three other designers were invited to show as well this season. They are Zuhair Murad, who dressed Jennifer Lopez and Sofia Vergara on the red carpet this year, Hervé Leroux of bandage dress fame (under the name Hervé Leger) and Lefranc Ferrant...
Hourani won’t show his ready-to-wear Rad by Rad Hourani collection in New York this winter, given the rush to complete the haute couture line..."

From "JEANNE BEKER"  in the "TORONTO STAR"
PARIS—The notion of seeing Didier Grumbach, long-time head of the revered Chambre Syndicale, which governs haute couture in France, at the Canadian Cultural Centre to watch the offerings of a young Canadian designer warmed the cockles of this seasoned fashion writer’s heart.
... Still, Hourani’s ready-to-wear line, which is sold in 30 countries, has resonated with those looking for something truly unique and edgy. And his first unofficial couture collection, produced last season, was a huge success.
...Hourani will be the first to tell you that he’s uncompromising, and sometimes in fashion, that can be tough. But judging from this elegant collection, Hourani’s passion and point of view, could not only catapult him onto the world’s fashion stage, but could also ensure that he stays there"
